ABSTRACT

This letter discusses some considerations based on an analysis of a controversial issue in the course of the surgical treatment of breast cancer with conservative surgery: the “edges of surgical section” or “surgical margin”, treated at a scientific meeting held Santa Clara City in October 2010 with the groups of care for breast diseases, especially breast carcinoma, and the presence of distinguished professors of the Institute of Oncology.
