ABSTRACT

The aging process is a universal definition, continuous and progressive, leading to deterioration, exhaustion and death of biological organisms. Old age is associated as ethical, historical, scientific, psychosocial and policies that differ across cultures and throughout the ages. This article reviews the conventional paradigms concerning the health of the elderly as a change relevant to the current concept of aging, and the scope of rehabilitation to enable older people to fully enjoy their rights, aging safely and with participation in their social environment.
