ABSTRACT

Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is defined as the transitional state between the cognitive changes of normal aging and early onset dementia. Recently increased efforts have been made to identify the clinical characteristics of MCI due to interest in identifying the characteristics of dementia disorders such as Alzheimer’s Disease (AD). Because MCI represents the earliest stage of such diseases, its clinical, epidemiological, neuroimaging, and neuropathological study is of interest.
