ABSTRACT
The purpose of this work was the identification of the uses of the 2 x 2 tables. 2 x 2 tables provide us with various statistics and measures of association. We review contingency tables, sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value, Cohen’s kappa coefficient, relative risk, odds-ratio, and the calculation of conditional probabilities.
