Traumatic bone cyst: description and solution of a clinical case

ABSTRACT

Though quite rare, the traumatic bone cyst has many names. Its etiology is elusive; it can be the result of an earlier trauma and is usually discovered during routine X-ray examination. We report the clinical case of a mandibular traumatic bone cyst in a 17-year-old male. Clinical, X-ray, tomographic, cytological, and histopathological studies were performed and the corresponding treatment carried out.
