ABSTRACT

Introduction. A clinical sign is any manifestation secondary to a disease. Radovici sign (palmomental reflex) consists in an involuntary contraction of chin muscles secondary to stimulation of thenar eminence. This sign was described by Marinesco Radovici at 1920, and is commonly found in patients who present corticospinal tract injury. Clinical case. 27 years old patient, admitted in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for head trauma. He was treated and managed for cerebral protection and with decompressive craniectomy. Physical examination showed sign of Radovici. The computed tomography showed left hemispheric infarction with involvement of the thalamus and internal capsule.
