ABSTRACT

Objectives. To describe the case of a patient with primary breast liposarcoma, with emphasis on clinical findings, and histological mastography, as well as a review of the literature. Case report. We present the case of a woman of 71 years who went to their first consultation, referring in crease in the volume of superior outer left breast, progressive growth and painful. A physical exploration presents a palpable mass of about 12 x 12 cm, painful soft consistency of the mobilization, located in upper outer quadrant of Spencer and tail of the left breast, without evidence of inflammatory signs, axillary adenomegalias or discharge from the nipple. The mastography shows a nodule, lobed, with fat density, bounded by a dense capsule; the ultrasound shows a texture similar to fat. Results. With a report from biopsy less fatty tumor (low grade sarcoma). The histopathology report concerns a fatty tumor atypical in relation to low grade sarcoma, subject to a simple mastectomy. Conclusions. The primary liposarcoma of breast tumors are extremely rare, its incidence is estimated at less than 1% of breast tumors. Here is an uncommon clinical, histopathological finding.
