ABSTRACT

The aortocaval fistula (FAC) is a complication that occurs in approximately 1% of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA), its etiology is varied spontaneous type being the most frequent followed by traumatic and iatrogenic, are secondary to a advencial inflammatory response periaortic, which produces a bond with the adjacent vein and necrosis of the wall of the aneurysm. The classic presentation of the FAC is presented clinically by a pulsating abdominal tumor continued abdominal bruit or thrill called in machinery and congestive heart failure type. There are several imaging studies support the clinical diagnosis which include abdominal color duplex ultrasound, arteriography and abdominal abdominal angiotomography. FAC treatment consists of surgical correction of type. The aim of this paper is to inform the medical population reporting a case filed in radiology and imaging unit and review of the literature of aortocaval-fistul.
