ABSTRACT

Dr. Alfonso Reyes Mota was a prominent Juarez Hospital physician and a pioneer in the development of pathology both locally and internationally, his scientific contributions have transcended throughout the years, so it still applies to our days, including staining for elastic fibers which are still used in the development of clinical diagnoses and in research. He also made important contributions in the field of histology and histopathology of the skin; chapters in books published Dermatology Clinic. While in the Hospital Juarez, Dr. Alfonso Reyes Mota founded the Pathology Unit on 1 August 1958, and was head of it until his death in 1974.
