ABSTRACT

A case report of a 36 years old patient, which during pregnancy presents intestinal occlusion by adhesions with torpid evolution who requires multidisciplinary management from general surgery and obstetrics, supported by emergency departments, maternal-fetal medicine, anesthesiology, neonatal and adult intensive care units, nursing, lab, imaging and social work. The case provides an opportunity to review the most relevant aspects of the diagnostic and treatment process, of a none-obstetric acute surgical abdomen in the pregnant woman.
