Proposal of an educational instrument to be used by the medicine students as a guide in the accomplishment of home visit from the determinants of the health state

ABSTRACT

A model for the home visit is carried out and whose objective goes to the proposal of an educational instrument that is used for the student as a guide for the accomplishment of this visit, motivated because during this activity the student receives teaching at the same time that participates in the attention to healthy or ill people, to the families and the community and contributes to the transformation of the person's health status or their community. Taking into account the determinants of the population health status a guide is suggested to detect in home and the surroundings possible risks or damages that take part in the health disease process; culminating with an educative work that responds to the modification or eradication of the identified elements. Also the advantages of the home medical visits are enumerated, its necessity as fundamental and irreplaceable component of the attention to patients and as necessary complement of work in the doctor's office. Method and material are represented by a bibliographical revision that in a summarized form expresses the technique to use in this activity. The proposal is concluded with the description of the different steps to follow in the accomplishment of the educational area.
