ABSTRACT

Nowadays, benign prostatic hyperplasia has become one of the most common causes of urologic consultation; therefore, their medical and surgical management has become very important in recent years among men aged over 40. Benign prostatic hyperplasia is a hystologic diagnosis that is associated with prostatic enlargement and is generally responsible for both irritative and obstructive symptoms in the urinary tract.
