Stromal tumors. Apropos of a case

ABSTRACT

A case of rare appearance is presented in the Department of Gastroenterology of the Provincial teaching Hospital "Dr. Antonio Luaces Iraola" Ciego de Ávila. It's a female patient, 73 years of age, who comes to consultation with frequent vomiting of bilious content, especially after the ingestion of food, changes in bowel habit and marked general syndrome, and a mass of T aspect in hypogastric region is palpable in abdomen to the physical examination, big, not painful to palpation, movable. Relevant studies were carried out and tumor of small intestine was the diagnosis. Abdominal surgery with exeresis of the tumor was coductive, The histological study is carried out and gets the diagnostic spindle-cell intestinal stromal tumor
