ABSTRACT

All branches of science treasure a history full of personalities and incidents; they have all addressed their principles, laws and individualities with a purpose, and with their own methods and ideas. This work, a memory and tribute, is intended to provide evidence of the beginnings and development of psychology in Cienfuegos, since the first graduation of its professionals in the Central University of Las Villas to its beginning in the province, covering the first working period of graduates as well as its continuity from the year 1966 to 1971. The tasks performed by its initiators and the contribution they made to science and society are also presented.
