ABSTRACT

Given the worldwide increase of people with diabetes mellitus and its increasingly frequent admission of these patients to operating rooms is critical, adequate assessment of these patients, both before, during and after surgery, to meet the different complications that can occur, and timely attention to their metabolic control, so that the revision of this article is for the purpose of giving adequate and timely attention to this group of patients.
