ABSTRACT
In Asia, debt bondage condemning millions of children to forced labor; their parents yield through unfair contracts, making unplayable debt. Iqbal Masih was example of this. After four years he was transferred to a carpet manufacturer, for 600 rupees loan increased twenty times in five years. During his work was beaten and chained. In 1992, the movement Bhatta Mazdoor Mahaz canceled his debt. Thereafter, he participated in the liberation of other children, publicly exposing his testimony. Subsequently, foreign reporting, the infamous trade of carpets and leading a boycott against them, obtaining international admiration. In 1995, returns become celebrity for his defense of the rights of children and the April 16, is killed in Muridke by members of the mafia. Iqbal Masih was one of the greatest defenders of human rights in the twentieth century. His life was short, and his untimely death, he became innocent hero in a hostile and indifferent. His sacrifice for a just cause it became a symbol of struggle against child slavery.
