ABSTRACT
The number of patients who look for clinical orthodontic treatment has been growing significantly in the last years. The orthodontic treatment or at least an orthodontic evaluation has become a habit for people who were not attended before. Poor-occlusion that were not observed before by patients or even by general practitioners began to have a special attention. If this practice was not used in an indiscriminated way in some treatments it could be helpful. One of the different types of poor-occlusion is dental transposition, where a permanent tooth change its position with another one, and it could be a total or partial transposition. The present study aim to review the different types of dental transpositions and offers a treatment purpose for each one, in order to warn the dental professionals about the legal implications resulting from an orthodontic treatment based on an incomplete diagnostic of this condition.REFERENCES
