ABSTRACT

Surgical procedures in maxillofacial surgery have special anesthetic considerations most of them caused by the proximity of their respective work area between the surgeon and the anesthesiologist, making sometimes the monitorization of the patient depend’s on indirect surveillance, monitorization equipment and observations made by the surgical team, requiring this situation of an excellent coordination. This article show’s some of the maxillofacial procedures in which the interdisciplinary management is required for the manipulation of the anatomic structures and airway management equipment.
