ABSTRACT

Digital photography is in constant evolution; it’s usefulness has been proved and applied to all medical areas. It has been used in dentistry and its specialties, in private practice as well as useful universities or health institutions. Digital photography has become a tool for dental clinic and there its importance. It is mentioned the basic terminology from numeric or digital photography, as well as the equipment used and its technique to use them in orthodontics and dentistry.
