The secondary cellular immunodeficiency tried with moxibuxtion

ABSTRACT

It was carried out a Clinical Rehearsal phase II late, open, to demonstrate the effectiveness of the moxibustion in the treatment of the cellular immunodeficiency in patient with recurrent infections assisted in the Policlinic Tula Aguilera of Camagüey City during the understood period from June 2010 until December 2012. The study universe was constituted by all the children with secondary cellular Immunodeficiency that were attended to the consultation of immunology of this institution and the sample was conformed to by 100 of them, between 2 and 9 ages, with a good diagnose of immunodeficiency cellular, previous immunologic study. Two groups were conformed (A and B) with 50 patients each one. In both groups treatment is indicated with levamisol to the dose of 2.5 mg/kg of weekly weight during eight weeks, vitamins A and C, as well as a rich diet in allowances that contain micronutrients like iron, zinc, calcium, magnesium and to the group A is added treatment with moxibustion, a session three times a week during eight weeks applied in the Department of Traditional Medicine of the center. Survey is applied according to experts’ approaches. The data of they processed in an automated way. As a more outstanding result we obtained that the effectiveness of the treatment was satisfactory in 88% of the cases, the infections at about three months of the treatment were decreased to 2% and the realized studies were normalized in 88% of the children.
