ABSTRACT

The nurse should make decisions in specific circumstances to the attention of the people under their care, and to assess the response of the interventions, since the result may be different for each individual, so the activities undertaken in the specific care should be based on scientific evidence to support their performance. The objective of this work is to present the experience of the Department of Nursing of the National Institute of Cardiology Ignacio Chavez about the activities undertaken to develop and implement Cardiovascular Clinical Practice Guidelines, scientific evidence that support the activities that the professional nursing, which also ensures the quality of care and patient safety by eradicating routines or practices based on experience and/or custom.
