ABSTRACT

This is a brief overview –from authors’ perspective– about the phenomena involved in the brain aging process, the differences by sex of the person who is aging, its association to the neurodegenerative diseases and the great expectations that have created the diverse research groups in this regard to identify early on the people that will suffer such catastrophe, and implement effective measures of prophylaxis and/or treatment.
