ABSTRACT
Fourty important medical anniversaries in 2014 were listed, underlining the significance of each of them. In the case of a Cuban or a foreign medical personality, the years of birth and death were stated together with the contribution to the medical culture that made the memory of this personality live on or the historical event in which she/he participated. The consulted bibliography was also presented.
