ABSTRACT

Aortoenteric fistula (AEF) is a communication between the aorta and a segment of the digestive tract, usually the third or fourth portion of duodenum. The suspicion is mainly clinic, with a sore back, a pulsating abdominal tumor data, gastrointestinal bleeding and sepsis, and if secondary, previous surgical treatment with use of prosthetic material. We report a 62 years with multiple morbidities and a history of aortic repair with synthetic graft for AAA, six weeks after his speech returned to service with upper gastrointestinal bleeding and hemodynamic compromise, a CT angiography reveals a pseudoaneurysm of the aorta. Exploratory laparotomy was performed with vascular examination, being 5 cm juxtarenal pseudoaneurysm with aortoenteric fistula secondary 2 cm in the third portion of duodenum.
