Manejo y tratamiento del acné (Bases para el diagnóstico y tratamiento)

ABSTRACT

Acne is one of the most common diseases in the world. Nowadays, it has affected an eighty five percent of the world population in some specific moment of their lives. It is characterized for the hiperkeratinization inflammation, the queratizacion, and the presence of the bacteria Propionibacterium acnes in the pilo sebaceous unit. This disease also affects the psicologic and social aspects of people who suffer from acne. There are several factors that predispose the disease, and it is required not only the clinic but also the comedone to make a correct diagnose. The treatment is based on topic antibiotics and retinoid for simple cases, but oral antibiotics and oral isotretinoin are required for severe cases.
