ABSTRACT

It is a general term for acute, subacute, or chronic recurrent ovaries and oviducts to be inflamated, which usually involve adjacent tissues. The term of EPI is vague at best, and should be discarded in favor of more specific terminology, which should include identification of affected organs, the stage of infection and if possible the causative agent.
