Linfangioma quístico retroperitoneal que se presenta como una hernia femoral

ABSTRACT

Cystic lymphangioma is a congenital lymphatic hamartoma of the lymphatic system. lymphangiomasare very common in infancy and extremely rare in adults, affect any part of the body drained by lymphatic vessels showing a predilection for head, neck and armpit. Retroperitoneal location is seldom observed. The clinical presentation varies from asymptomatic with enlargement of the abdominal perimeter to compression from the mass effect. To diagnose it is important to carry on ultra sound and CT examination, abdominal radiography is nonspecific. The treatment is always surgical.
