ABSTRACT

Vitiligo is an autoinmune disorder characterized by the manifestation of hypopigmented patches in skin, having on it different sizes and different locations where it can be found. The prevalence is about 1%, no predilection for sex, and it is presented during the second or third decade of life. It is associated to another autoinmune disorders such as hypothyroidism or diabetes type 1. Segmental distribution in the face is the most frequent manifestation, before the age of 30. There are many treatment modalities being the medical the most used in our context.
