ABSTRACT

Epilepsy is a chronic brain disease that affects people of all countries and is characterized by recurrent seizures. The seizures are brief episodes of muscle contractions that can affect a body part (partial seizures) or full (generalized seizures) and is sometimes accompanied by loss of consciousness and control of his bowels. If the seizure occurs in the third trimester should be suspected and managed as a eclampsia until they prove otherwise. If the seizure occurs in the first half of pregnancy and is known epileptic patient should be studied by secondary causes acquired.
