ABSTRACT

Despite the fact that the pathogenesis of the disease of Osgood-Schlatter remains a subject of debate, this disease is one of the most frequent causes of gonalgia in older children and adolescents sportsmen. Being responsible for the major absenteeism for sporting activities and training of athletes in this age group. Due to the high incidence of this disease is of paramount importance to recognize this entity since it corresponds to a frequent cause of consultation in the first level of care, because it generates concern to both parents and patients due to the functional limitation that this produces, being a benign, self-limiting disease, whose diagnosis is initially clinical, and management, in most cases, conservative
