ABSTRACT

Actually you have a variety of rules and recommendations for the publication of scientific articles of basic or applied science. However, there are few precedents in the literature on the necessary writing, designing and structuring a publication of a case report or clinical cases available for the authors and reviewers, allowing match criteria, both for writing as recommendations for its evaluation. For the communication of this type of report should be considered to maintain a systematic and logical structure that allows transferring knowledge and thereby encourage their discussion. What finally lets us know the relevant clinical objectives, as the process for the integration of early clinical diagnosis, establish new patterns of medical and surgical treatment and modify or create new strategies to reduce complications or morbidity and mortality of disease, contributing thereby to improve the quality of life of patients, in the same way allows us to have information relevant to foster an objective assessment of the effectiveness of treatments or given to the patient. The aim of this work is to provide a series of recommendations for writing, design and structure a clinical case, and thus to promote the process of publication and that publishers obtain more elements to structure editing. We propose to divide it into 10 sections (abstract, introduction, case description, comments, ethical considerations, discussion, conclusions, recommendations, acknowledgments and references) that allow a better description and understanding of the clinical case.
