ABSTRACT
A perfect smile, in terms of shape, proportion, color, and tooth alignment, constitutes a model of beauty for society. Having teeth that meet this aesthetic standard has a positive impact on a person’s self-esteem. An increasing number of patients are now seeking solutions to problems of aesthetic disharmony of the smile, particularly pigmentation of mineralized dental tissues. Finding the right aesthetic solution for the various types of tooth discoloration is a major challenge for dentists. Correct diagnosis allows the professional to decide on the best aesthetic treatment or to choose to combine various treatment methods in order to achieve a satisfactory cosmetic result with minimal tooth wear. In order to promote better treatments for smile aesthetics in patients with dental fluorosis, we present a treatment option based on a clinical case of teeth whitening using 12% hydrochloric acid, in combination with micro-abrasion and final sealing of the enamel with self-etching adhesive.REFERENCES
