ABSTRACT

In this article we present the premise of how the diagnostic image is changing paradigms of diagnosis and at times medical treatment. Currently radiologists are defending clinical history over the majority of clinicians who are forgetting it. From the second half of the last century with the development and evolution of diagnostic imaging techniques, physicians hung the stethoscope on their shoulders promoting that the diagnostic image became the fetish of contemporary medicine.
