ABSTRACT

Coronary artery fistula is a rare condition in which a communication exists between a coronary artery and a cardiac chamber or systemic vein. It causes and obligatory shunt from the coronary artery to a cardiac chamber. It has traditionally been managed by surgical ligation. However, in recent years endovascular therapy has been employed with encouraging results. We report a case of right coronary artery fistula draining into the right ventricle, the failed closure with controlled release coils and the surgical treatment.
