Prosthetic rehabilitation on implants in patients with oligodontia

ABSTRACT

Background: rehabilitation through dental implants has been an effective means for the replacement of lost or absent teeth.
Case presentation: 25 year old patient, holder of an acrylic upper partial prosthesis due to oligodontia of upper lateral incisive and lesions in the oral mucous membrane. The patient is treated by a multidisciplinary team and was rehabilitated with a fixed prosthesis supported by implants.
Conclusions: Implantology as a means of support in prosthetic rehabilitation resulted effective in a patient with oligodontia of upper lateral incisive with aesthetic improvement, function and self esteem.
