Wireless capsule endoscopy, gastrointestinal bleeding.

ABSTRACT

The video endoscopy using a wireless capsule, is now currently procedure used in adult patients with GI bleeding of obscure origin. Due to the size of the capsule used, is not swallowed by small children, it should be placed into the duodenum by endoscopy. Here by we will describe the use of this capsule in the endoscopic study of a 5-year old child with hematochezia due to angiodysplasias of the colon.
