Evaluation of the functional capacity in patient with osteoarthritis

ABSTRACT

Introduction: The osteoarthritis is a degenerative illness to articulate that it is among the first discapacity cause in developed countries.
Objective: To identify the functional capacity of the patients with osteoarthritis.
Methodology: I study descriptive. For the positive diagnosis they were kept in mind the approaches of the ACR. The variable socio-demographer was described. The functional capacity was determined using the HAQ-CU.
Results: The age average was of 60.55 years. The biggest gender frequency corresponded to the feminine gender with 77.21 %. The articulation that with more frequency you affection was the knee with 48 %. The time of more frequent evolution was the one understood between 1 and 5 years. The discapacity grade that was presented with more frequency was the slight discapacity in a general way in 35.40 %
Conclusions: The increment of the time of evolution, the comorbilidades presence and the affectation of hips and knees influenced negatively in the grade of the patients' discapacity.
