ABSTRACT
Background: Reorganizing higher education in Cuba with a rational use of resources guaranteeing the service quality implies to reach university integration in every province of the country. Objective: escribe in a preliminary way the process of integration of the centers University of Pedagogical Sciences and Faculty of Physical Culture, to the University of Sancti Spíritus “José Martí Pérez”, in the province of Sancti Spiritus. Methodology: A transversal study was carried out in the period from June to November, 2013, in the three formative centers. The sample consisted of 195 employees of the headquarters of these organizations. Results: The universities proposed for the integration share missions and similar structures; they have common tendencies, inclinations, and challenges, as well as scenarios and groups interested in the change. This endows with solid bases for a liable, efficient and effective process. Conclusions: There are solid objective conditions able to guarantee the process in the future provided that a positive influence is exerted on the subjective conditions through an organizational program to manage changes focused on a responsible and committed participation of every employee with the integration.REFERENCES
