Chromoblastomycosis and mycetoma Case report due to simultaneous presentation of Fonsecaea pedrosoi and Nocardia brasiliensis

ABSTRACT

The case of a male patient aged 44 years native of the state of Guerrero, Mexico who came to inquire subcutaneous infection in the left thigh and knee is described. A picture of chromoblastomycosis by Fonsecaea pedrosoi was identified 15 years of crop evolution and the presence of Nocardia brasiliensis strains was grown. Both mycosis fully cured with double outline with antibiotics (trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole 160/800, antifungals (itraconazole 200 mg/day) for two years and cryotherapy monthly for one year.
