ABSTRACT

The International Cynological Federation has registered 450 canine breeds and two of them are native to Mexico: the Chihuahua and the Xoloitzcuintle dogs. The latter is a hairless breed due to an X-linked genetic mutation known as canine ectodermal dysplasia. As dermatologists, it is important to be aware of the peculiar features of this interesting dog.
