ABSTRACT

The program “More Doctors for Brazil” is a different modality of the Cuban medical cooperation because it is based on the Brazilian government law 12.871 from October 22/2013, this one in Chapter four includes “More Doctors for Brazil” project and authorizes the contract of employment not only for Brazilian professionals but also for professionals from other nationalities, individually or through the government to work in the primary health cares. The insertion occurs through the in-service learning project where the doctors should fulfill different educational offers and courses imparted by universities of the country that joined the program. The authors were motivated to present this article so as to communicate the characteristics of this form of collaboration and for the knowledge and information for health professionals who might be interested in this project.
