ABSTRACT

The purpose of this work was to evaluate the knowledge of students on the last year of dental school about the general management of the pregnant woman. The inclusion criteria was focused on students that were in the last year of dental school of three different universities. A transversal descriptive study was performed, a questionnaire was done and validated about the concepts a general dentist must have about this topic. Results: 132 students participated in the study, whose knowledge in Pharmacology and Physiology were deficient. It is important the need of a feedback about the importance of basic sciences in the clinical practice due of the demand of these services is low.
