ABSTRACT

Trichofolliculoma is a complex chronic and asymptomatic hamartoma with follicular differentiation usually affecting the face of adults. It is an umbilicate dome-shaped nodule with a central dilated ostium filled with keratin and from which a tuft of hair emerges. Is more frequent seen from the second to the sixth decades of life. We report a 89 year-old man with a trichofolliculoma originating within a fibroepithelial polyp.
