ABSTRACT

This article offered an explanation on a relative mistake about the number of physicians in the first years of the revolutionary government, a mistake that has been very frequently repeated. Evidence from official sources of that period was shown whereas the correct figures for the years 1959 through 1968 were rescued. Pieces of information were given about the number of medical graduates and physicians that migrated to other countries in the abovementioned years.
