Acquired progresive Lymphangioma.

ABSTRACT

Acquired progressive lymphangioma (APL) is a rare disorder characterized by a brown, red, or violaceous plaque that grows slowly with time. The condition is usually asymptomatic and typically presents in childhood. We present a 14-year-old hispanic female with APL on the lower extremities, abdomen, anterior chest, shoulders, and back. The monoclonal antibody D2-40, a marker of lymphatic endothelium, was used to confirm the diagnosis. We also review the 34 previously reported patients with APL.
