ABSTRACT

The facets and considerable contributions in Luis Daniel Careers Matos´s trajectory, Doctor in Medical Sciences, Regular Professor of the Stomatology Faculty and of the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences in Santiago de Cuba are exalted. His founder condition is analyzed, as well as his fruitful and multifaceted work within the revolutionary period as leader, worker, professional, scientific, professor, and citizen, with a notorious ethical sense. The contributions to the scientific and teaching literature either in the country or abroad are also pointed out, as well as the influence in the training of medicine and stomatology students; so that, he may be an exceptional example in the Cuban medical teaching.
