ABSTRACT

The osteogenesis or osteogenia imperfect it is a disease caused by a genetic fault, so much in the qualitative and quantitative synthesis of the collagenous type I, which is characterized by the fragility of the bones, which can be fractured by the minimal trauma before external and internal forces or even without apparent reason. It is of great clinical variability, causing also other problems like skeletal weak muscles, fragile teeth and deafness. Let's sense beforehand the clinical case of a patient with 9-year-old osteogenesis imperfect of age, where it appreciated variety of symptoms; you fracture bony, deformity of the extremities, cifosis, dental deformities, laxity of the joints, between others. From the point of view of rehabilitation, the aim is directed to improve the functionality and the quality of life of the child or teenager, with strategies of treatment of rehabilitation, which optimize his independence, as orientation, taken care basic and technologies of rehabilitation. There were checked different databases, which us contributed experience in this affection.
