Ethics in scientific publication in the field of dentistry.

ABSTRACT

The ultimate aim of any dental research project is to have its findings published in a prestigious scientific journal, in a well-structured article summarizing its procedures, results, and conclusions, in order to share information that could be potentially beneficial to the dental community. The process of publishing a scientific article on the health sciences should be underpinned by the scientific credibility, authenticity, and honesty of the authors. This article seeks to outline the ethical basics and principles governing this publication process and so support any experienced or novice researchers wishing to enrich the stock of quality literature and contribute to developing the learning of evidence-based dentistry.
