ABSTRACT
The resistance of any tooth is reduced proportionally to the loss of surrounding dental tissue, whether this is due to trauma, cavities or restorative procedures themselves. Therefore, the method chosen to achieve reconstruction needs to minimize the amount of tissue removed by making use of adhesive protocols and materials with properties similar to those of dentin. Compared to the direct technique, indirect restorations have a greater potential to produce better anatomical conformation, interproximal contacts and contour, excellent occlusal morphology, and good marginal sealing. Using composites for indirect restorations offers advantages such as less complex laboratory techniques, improved flexural strength and resilience, and a reduced risk of fracture during testing and cementation. In the present clinical case, two indirect composite restorations were carried out on the upper central incisors. This treatment was chosen due to its simplicity, it being of short duration (only two appointments), more economic than ceramic restorations, and one that involves a predictable and stable techniqueREFERENCES
