ABSTRACT

Preterm birth is the leading cause of neonatal morbility and mortality. That is why identifying women at risk of having a preterm delivery has become a mainstay for modern medicine. Nonetheless, this process of identification continues to be very inexact, regardless of the many advances y science and technology. The purpose of this document is to review several methods that have been proposed to identify and manage women at risk of preterm labor.
